Vancouver Surge Release Capsidal After Single Stage
Vancouver Surge have announced the release of Kenyen "Capsidal" Sutton from their starting roster after just a single stage with the organization. The move comes following a turbulent Stage II, where the team struggled to find rhythm and ultimately finished Top 8 at Birmingham.
Capsidal joined Vancouver during Stage II of the 2026 CDL season, aiming to bring a jolt of energy & pacing to the lineup. However, the Surge failed to gain momentum across qualifiers and fell short of expectations at Major II in Birmingham, prompting the organization to move in a different direction before Stage III. Capsidal departs with a 0.87 K/D during the Stage, 2nd lowest on the team, to only Ronald "Abe" Abraham's 0.81.
Vancouver has yet to announce a replacement or confirm its updated starting four for Stage III, though sources have told Ronnie Intel that Isaiah "Gwinn" Gwinn will be moved back to the SMG position & that the team will trial players for the second AR slot.
