Hardpoint has always been the heartbeat of the Call of Duty League, and the 2025 season was no exception. Across four stages and multiple Majors & Minors, teams battled it out in the league’s most chaotic and momentum-driven mode. As the dust settles on the regular season, clear patterns have emerged—with some squads thriving in Hardpoint, while others struggled to keep pace.
In this breakdown, we’re ranking all 12 CDL teams based on their Hardpoint performance throughout the entire 2025 season, factoring in win rates, map pool strength, and impact in high-pressure moments. Let’s dive into which teams dominated the hill—and which ones got rolled off it.

Vegas was the worst team in the Call of Duty League in Hardpoint this season, and sadly, it wasn't very close. The team went winless in three different stages this season, going 0-13 during Stage I, 0-14 in Stage II, and 0-11 in Stage IV. The Falcons also went 0-7 on LAN, losing maps by an average margin of -80.9. It is a year to forget for the Falcons, as they look to rebuild the team heading into the Esports World Cup in July.

Up next, the LA Guerrilas M8. They had a very disappointing debut season in Hardpoint, going 17-34 overall, including 14-30 in online matches. During the middle portion of the season, the Guerrillas struggled mightily, going a combined 4-20 in Stages II & III. While they were able to improve during Stage IV (6-5 Record), it wasn't enough to make it past 11th in the rankings.

Cold to start, the Rokkr are one of the worst teams in the CDL in Map 1s this season. They went 12-27 (30.8%) in Map 1s this year, sitting at an average margin of -11.5. As the season progresses, though, the Rokkr are 16-15 (51.6%) in Map 4s with an improved average margin of +5.8. Map pool and veto issues caused issues & inconsistencies across the season for Minnesota, forcing them down the rankings to 10th.

Coming in 9th place is the New York franchise, Cloud9. This was a competitive team online, going 22-22 (50.0%), including going 5.3 during Stage IV. That record wasn't kept up on LAN, falling to 1-11 (8.3%) this season with an average margin of -58.4. Those struggles helped contribute to two Top 12 placings in the final two Stages when the team needed points the most. This resulted in the team getting a ticket to watch Champs from Cancun.

The Royal Ravens were a team of two halves, playing well at the start of the year and slowly becoming one of the worst in the end. The squad went 22-21 in the first half of the season, including 9-6 in Stage II. A major red flag was the performances on LAN, where the team had a 4-13 record with a -41.4 average margin and went 0-5 at the last two majors. The biggest red flag for the team was their ability to rotate, sitting dead last with a 46.6% rotation win percentage. Unless if they can completely revamp that part of their game in the next two weeks, then the squad will be in trouble at Champs.

We've finally made it to the first .500 team in the League, the Boston Breach. They were a great rotating team, which helped them have an 8-5 record on Vault. The problem was that the team had clean map pool issues, going 3-7 on Red Card and 5-10 on Skyline, which left them vulnerable to hard veto decisions. Rotating didn't help the team much due to the fact that they were 8th in Hold Percentage and 10th in Hold Efficiency (45.6%). This meant that they weren't consistently converting the early rotation into points, hampering their ability to climb the rankings here.

OpTic has always been a historically great Hardpoint team throughout the years, highlighting the very best during the jetpack years with the Dynasty. Sadly, that form didn't translate to this year's OpTic team, which was impacted heavily due to multiple roster changes. They were a good holding & breaking team in terms of percentages, but were middle of the pack in terms of efficiency. That means that they were getting minor holds & breaks, good for percentages but not for getting the most amount of points. With a now stable lineup, OpTic should be able to button up setups during the break going into Champs.

Shockingly, the Heretics didn't drastically get better in Hardpoint with their final lineup this year. While their best stage of the season was Stage IV (9-6), the Heretics were 13-10 in Stage I with Alejandro "Lucky" López in the lineup. They maintained a consistent level throughout the season, going 25-22 online and 13-10 on LAN, but had a low average margin (+1.3).

Next up, the Toronto Ultra. The Canadian squad went 27-19 (58.7%) in Map 1s with an impressive +26.9 average margin across the season, which gave them the upper hand early in the series. Their best attribute was their breaking, ranking 1st in break percentage (32.8%) and 3rd in break efficiency (25.4%).

The most shocking team on the list is the Vancouver Surge, especially after their Stage I performance. With Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks in the lineup, the Surge went 7-11 with an average margin of -31.1. After signing Travis "Neptune" McCloud, though, they proceeded to go 21-8 in Stage II, 10-7 in Stage III, and 8-3 in Stage IV for a total of 39-18 with Neptune. Their average margin has improved every stage, and they have a strong pick-your-poison situation in the vetoes with Hacienda, Vault, and Red Card. If they can turn around their SND (2-7 in Stage IV), their Hardpoint could carry them far at Champs.

With the amount of talk that the community had around FaZe's Hardpoint, you'd expect the statistics to be more concerning. The first half of the season, Atlanta went a combined 33-14 record but actually had their best average margin in Stage IV (+26.3). The team was very consistent with winning rotations, but their setups weren't strong enough to capitalize as much as they should of. That is both a green & red flag. It is hugely positive that they win rotations consistently throughout the entire season. The problem is that it can vary, and the lower Hold & break percentages show that the team either isn't communicating properly during the opening portion of the hills or that their setups are flawed. It is fixable, though, and having this great of a record shows that they are a great team in the mode as is.

The best Hardpoint team in the game, the Thieves were the only team in the CDL to not have a losing or .500 record in any stage. The squad has an incredibly deep map pool, which makes vetoes impossible against them. They were the second-best rotation team this season, but then they were the best holding team. Thieves ranked first in Hold Percentage (78%), points per hold opportunity (30.5), net points per hold opportunity (+17.3), and hold efficiency (51%). LA was just as consistent playing on both LAN & Online, going 21-10 (68%) in tournaments on LAN compared to 28-14 (67%) in online play.
