With the 2025 Call of Duty League regular season officially in the books, the spotlight now turns to one of the biggest questions of the year: Who deserves MVP? Across four stages and numerous high-stakes matchups, a handful of players have distinguished themselves from the pack—delivering consistent impact, elite individual statistics, and clutch performances that propelled their teams through the season's grind.
This season, Breaking Point will include both Champs & the Esports World Cup in our awards & Top 20 voting. This gives players & teams two more LAN events to separate themselves from the pack.
From dominant SMG or AR players, these five standout stars have made the strongest cases for MVP honors. As we head into Champs, let’s take a closer look at the top 5 candidates vying for the league’s most prestigious individual award.

His Case: Scrap has consistently played at a high level throughout the season, even as the team struggled to find victories during the opening two stages of the season. Once the squad clicked, Scrap has led the team to two straight Major Tournament victories and has won both Tournament MVP awards. The damage output has been a major different between scrap & all other ARs, which gives Thieves plenty of map control for their SMGs to work freely. With two events left in the season, Scrap currently sits in the throne for me.
His Case: Cellium has put up great efficiency & K/D numbers for so long that fans have become numb to them. Leading the League in several stat categories, including overall K/D, adjusted KD, Non-traded Kill percentage, and both LAN K/D & KA/D, Cellium has been a beast once again this year.
His Case: Paco started the season slow compared to his standards, but has turned it up when it has mattered most. He was a crucial piece to the Thieves' success over the last two stages, which has resulted in two Major Trophies. He's the best pure slayer in the CDL, leading the League in Slayer Rating & kills per 10 minutes in both respawn modes.
His Case: Simp was the best SMG during the opening two stages of the season, helping Atlanta FaZe win the first two Majors of the year while winning the event MVP at Major I. While his Hardpoint play cooled off in the second half, he has continued to be one of the best SND players in the League while providing key objective play in all three modes. He is the best do-it-all SMG in the League, but will need to show out at both Champs & EWC.
His Case: Toronto had much lower expectations going into the season, as they had lost a pair of stars to the LA Thieves & seemed to be in a bit of turmoil. Fast forward 8 months, and the Ultra has finished every major in the Top 6 while having two 3rd-place finishes. Joe has been the consistent force for the team, leading them in slaying while also carrying a large chunk of the objective workload. Without JoeDeceives, the team would fall much lower on the season standings.
